After mounting a physically and emotionally draining prison break, Miles and his Dendarii Mercenaries stop at Earth to get some rest and make repairs. The plot picks up right where the novel “Borders of Infinity” left off, so I recommend reading that first. Just like pretty much every entry in the series, Brothers in Arms features political intrigue, mistaken identities, and a climatic battle scene. Despite the inherent ridiculousness of this plot twist, this novel is a fun adventure and Bujold is in top form. More importantly, Brothers in Arms introduces us to Miles’ very own clone, Mark.

So here we have the novel where Miles visits Earth. There is a big plot twist halfway through this novel, so I’d recommend reading the book first before reading this review.
