I enjoyed getting to the heart of Ares, he’s so much more than anyone is willing to see. Who wants to go up against The Force? Pippa Grant balanced out Ares and Felicity so well. But I think Ares can handle that for her. Felicity does seem to have a problem attracting twatwaffles. I’m so glad to see Ares her his HEA! Felicity is perfect for the quiet man since she never shuts up. Ares understands her though, and she understands Ares. She hides her insecurities through her puppets. She’s a ventriloquist with multiple voices and gets teased a lot about that.
Felicity is a bit off her rocker, but she’s hilarious. No one takes the time to look inside him, to look past the grunting persona. He’s so freaking sweet and protective and he has his reasons for not talking. Ares is the second half of the Berger twins, the one who doesn’t talk and everyone thinks is stupid. He is so quiet and hilarious with Zeus, yet you know he’s hiding something big. Beauty and the Beefcake offers us so much more than Pippa Grant’s signature humor, she gives us two not quite broken people and shows us how they heal and fit with each other! I have been waiting for Ares! He’s always been my favorite.
